Famous television actor Karan Mehta, who is best known for playing the role of a dutiful father and an ideal perfect husband in the famous television drama Yeh Rishta kya kehlata hai, has been reportedly arrested by the Maharashtra police on 1st June. His wife Nisha Rawal has filed a complaint against him in Goregaon for allegedly beating her up.

Nisha is also a TV actress who is best known for portraying the role of Soumya Diwan in the serial Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan ki. She has also essayed several roles in other series.
The couple has been married for 10 years and has one child. They both started their profession as models. Before this news, there were also rumours that the couple is lately facing trouble in their marriage though they dismissed the news.
Coming to the incident, it took place on 31 st night when the actor was taken into custody based on her complaint later he was released on bail on Tuesday. According to the police report, they received a call from their control room around 11 pm on Monday stating that they had a fight and that the actor had beaten her badly. A case was registered under IPC sections 336, 337, 332, 504, and 506. The police went and arrested the actor and brought him to the police station. Though after the legal formalities, the actor was released on bail. Waiting for the time to get justice for the innocent.
