Two possibilities:

1. Transferring the smartphone to a exceptional provider:

If the smartphone is GSM, and handles the frequencies utilized by the new provider and isn’t SIM-locked, just get a SIM from the new provider. (If it’s CDMA, probable not, except you’re shifting it to the service it changed into on while you had the ST account. [ST isn’t a carrier, they’re a network operator - they use AT&T, TMobile, Sprint and Verizon as carriers.] If it’s SIM-locked, the new SIM received’t paintings in it except you purchase the unlock code for that phone - see eBay for free up codes.)

2. Transferring your Straight Talk account to a exceptional smartphone:

If the new phone can perform at the provider’s towers..
If it’s a GSM telephone just placed the SIM card into it (the same SIM-lock policies follow).
If it’s a CDMA smartphone (Sprint or Verizon), touch Straight Talk customer service to exchange the account to the new phone.
