The policy is an important aspect for runnianything legally. The privacy policy is a law in which you are supposed to inform the users about all the personal information that is collected from the users if you are running a website or an app. Terms and Conditions (T&C) is a legal agreement where all the rules and regulations for using a website are given and the user will have to just go through it minutely and agree to use the app or website. So, here lies the difference between the two as the use of two documents is different. Privacy Policy includes the collection of data from users whereas Terms and Conditions include the rules and responsibilities of the users for using an app.

In the privacy policy, non-personal data are collected but T&C is a law-governed by the government. The basic difference between the two is Privacy Policy is used to protect your user but the Terms and Conditions are used to protect you and your website or company. Privacy Policy shares security information of the users but Terms and Conditions share billing information, copyright information, and so on. Terms and Conditions talk about the law under which a user’s account might be terminated or deleted. Unlike T&C, Privacy Policy tells the user how they can keep a record of their information and change it when they want.

If you are providing a Privacy Policy then, you must mention why the data is being collected but Terms and Conditions are bound by the law so no question of collection of data is mentioned here.
