Giving same boring stuff to your children in tiffin can make them see the food as repulsive. Consequently, they stop taking the meals given by you. If you want to try something new for you child’s tiffin, then you can absolutely prepare Bread Idli very easily at home.
Ingredients:
Bread slices: 8-10
Semolina: 1 cup
Curd: 2 cups
Carrot, cabbage, onion, tomato, capsicum –all of them finely chopped.
Salt
Red Chilly Powder
Garam Masala
Chaat Masala
Eno
Oil
Idli maker
Water
Method:
• Cut the corners of the bread, and crush it to make powder.
• In a bowl, prepare a mixture of semolina, curd, and salt.
• Add red chilly powder, garam masala, chaat masala and all the chooped vegetables in the mixture.
• Add Eno and beat the mixture thoroughly.
• Add 2 cups of water in Idli maker and let it boil.
• In the Idli stand, apply oil and pour the mixture in it. Close the lid of the idli maker.
• When the maker starts whistling, open the lid and check idli.
Your Bread Idli is ready. Serve it with Sambhar or pack it for your kid’s lunch box with tomato sauce.
