Ingredients:

• Semolina: 250 grams
• Glace cherry: 150 grams
• Dark brown sugar: 200 grams
• White butter: 200 grams
• Dry fruits: 250 grams
• Marmalade (or jam): 100 grams
• Eggs: 4
• Sugar syrup: 2 tablespoons
• Cinnamon powder: ½ spoon
• Vanilla essence: ½ spoon
• Brandy: 5 tablespoon

Ingredients for decorating the cake:

• Icing sugar: 50 grams
• Apple jam: 3 tablespoons
• Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
• Marzipan: 200 grams

Method:

• Take the filtered semolina in a utensil and mix cinnamon powder, butter, and sugar in it. Stir well.

• Now add sugar syrup, marmalade, and vanilla essence, and keep beating till the mixture blossoms. Keep beating and add eggs and dried fruits to it.

• Set the oven from 150 degrees to 0 degrees and cover the base of the bowl you are going to bake the cake in.

• Now put the batter in the bowl and keep it in the oven to bake.

• Keep checking the cake at intervals.

• For checking, insert a knife inside the cake. If the matter of the cake sticks in the knife, it’s not baked properly. When the knife comes out clean, it has been baked.

• When baked, take the cake out, make small cuts in it, and pour brandy in these cuts.

• Decorate it with the dried fruits. Sprinkle icing sugar on it.

• Now spread apple jam on the cake and coat it with marzipan. Sprinkle lemon juice from above.

• Your Christmas cake is ready.
