There were threats posed by non-executive employees of Delhi Metro as they went on strike in the latter half of the month of June, but it comes out that Delhi Metro services shall be going unhampered in July. The employees did the same last year in July when their demands of revision of salary went unheard by DMRC.

The shutting down of the metro services was avoided last year, and is done this year too, it seems. Although it’s not clear if the employees were successful in making their demands heard or not, delhiites will be enjoying unhampered transportation services.

Outrage was there even in the metro users as the employees threatened to even bar the entry in the metro station. One of the metro users expressed his agitation by saying that the employees have no right to shut down all the services. The sit-in strikes were organized at Yamuna Bank, Dwarka, Badarpur, Mundka, Qutub Minar, and Vishwavidyalaya metro stations.
