The fire kindled by Pulwama Attack and the air strike by IAF that followed it has not been extinguished yet.
Indian Air Force and the government have claimed that 350 terrorists were killed in the air strike. The claims of international media, however, say something else. Some news channels and newspapers tell that not even a single terrorist was killed in Surgical Strike 2.0.
On one hand, PM Modi is all ready to take the full credit of the feat, while on the other hand the politicians of the opposition party are slamming the government and supporting the claims of international media. Of all these politicians, the one whose name is coming in the forefront is Navjot Singh Siddhu.
(Courtesy: Dainik Bhaskar)According to Siddhu’s tweet, he has asked if IAF launched the bombs to kill the terrorists or to uproot the trees, supporting the claims of media. These claims have further been intensified by Amit Shah who earlier reported the killing of 350 terrorists and later that of 250.
According to me, Siddhu’s question has nothing wrong in it. We all have full faith in India’s defense forces, but the government is dragging the forces now to politicize the current situation. Before Navjot Singh Siddhu, Mamata Banerjee, Kapil Sibbal, Chidambaram, and Digvijay Singh have also raised similar questions. The central government, however, don’t feel it necessary to reply to such questions, and hence, has decided not to comment on it.
