Market capitalization, often known as market cap, is the sum of the market values of all of the outstanding common shares held by stockholders of a publicly traded company. The market capitalisation of a company is calculated by multiplying its outstanding common shares by the market price per share.
Free-float market methodology is a technique for figuring out the market capitalization of the underlying companies in an equity market index. By multiplying the stock price by the quantity of shares that are easily available on the market, this process allows us to determine a company's market capitalization.
