The Bermuda Triangle is a swath of the Atlantic Ocean spanning from Miami to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The mystery of this mythic place started with a government report released in 1964 which noted that US Navy ships and airplanes were disappearing there at an unusually high rate. Some people believe the disappearance is caused by UFOs, magnetic anomalies in the ocean, or sea monsters. There are some paranormal theories that suggest it’s related to an ancient civilization or creatures like the Kraken. Skeptics say more disappearances happen in that area because it’s heavily trafficked and swimmers have drowned there too often.
