The difference between lead acid and lithium ion batteries is quite simple if we look at daily use.
Lead acid batteries are the older type. They are cheaper but don’t last very long. Usually, they work fine for 2–3 years and need regular maintenance like water filling. They are also heavy and take more time to charge.
On the other hand, lithium ion batteries are more advanced. They charge faster, last much longer (around 5–7 years), and don’t need any maintenance. They are also lightweight and give better performance, especially for inverters, solar setups, and electric vehicles.
From what I’ve seen, more people are now switching to lithium because it saves money in the long run and works more reliably.
