One TV series that truly deserves a comeback is Sarabhai vs Sarabhai because of the level of entertainment that it set for Indian television in its time. It was a true and perfect depiction of an Indian family with a modern mother in law but middle class daughter in law.

The main theme of the series used to be daily life experiences of Sarabhais, with a tinge of sarcastic comedy. All the characters were well crafted and dialogues were skillfully written to make it a suitable sitcom for all the high comedy lovers.
Apart from this series, I am a great great fan of Khichdi series which used to air on Star Plus. The tomfoolery of a Gujarati family was the object of the self aware comedy that was the main highlight of this serial. The characters this serial had can be remembered and recalled even now, with all their distinct characteristics.
