How many attempts are allowed for UPSC 2026?

For UPSC 2026, the number of attempts depends on category:

• General: 6 attempts (up to 32 years)
• OBC: 9 attempts (up to 35 years)
• SC/ST: Unlimited attempts (up to 37 years)
• PwBD: Extra age relaxation as per category
• An attempt is counted if you appear in Prelims, even if you fail.
