I used to think blockchain was just about Bitcoin and trading coins, but the more I read and worked around tech, the more I realized it’s way bigger. Companies are using it for supply chains, verifying digital identities, healthcare records, even smart contracts that run on their own. Cryptocurrency was just the first popular use case—it’s kind of like how email was the first big thing for the internet, but not the whole story.

Yes, blockchain is much more than just cryptocurrency. While it became popular because of Bitcoin, the technology itself is basically a secure and transparent way to store and share data. It can be used in many areas like supply chain tracking, digital identity, voting systems, and even healthcare records. The main advantage is that once data is recorded on a blockchain, it’s very hard to change, which makes it trustworthy. So cryptocurrency is just one use case, but blockchain has a lot of potential in different industries.
