The Combined Defense Services (CDS) exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission to recruit candidates to serve in various defense categories of India. Through this exam, candidates seek admissions to Indian Military Academy (IMA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA).

The CDS exam is conducted twice every year. Aspirants seeking admissions to IMA, AFA, and INA need to appear for all three sections - English, Elementary Maths, and General Knowledge. Whereas for OTA only two sections need to be attempted i.e. General Knowledge and English. The maximum marks of the written exam for admission to INA, IMA, and AFA is 300 marks and for OTA, it is 200 marks.

● CDS (1) 2021 exam analysis for Mathematics, English, and Elementary Maths; will be conducted at various cities after February 7 (soon after the exam gets over).

● Last year, the overall difficulty level of CDS 1 remained moderate to difficult.

● The Maths section was difficult, while General Knowledge and English sections were easy to moderate.

● For CDS (2) the overall difficulty level remained moderate.

● The Maths section was moderate, the English section was easy and the General Knowledge section was tough.
