After the cyclone Tauktae which destroyed the western coast of India another cyclone is heading and it is confirmed by the India Meteorological Department. The cyclone has got the name “YAAS” and is expected to form in the east-central Bay of Bengal on 23rd May and will take a terrifying form. To brace ourselves from the dangerous cyclone heading we need to be aware of the speed of the cyclone. It is being told from the India Meteorological Department that the wind speed will be about 50km/hr to 60 km/hr and will increase up to 70km/hr from Tuesday.
From Wednesday morning it will gust up to 80 km/hr along with West Bengal, north Odisha and Bangladesh coasts. The Regional Meteorological office said that the speed of the wind will keep on increasing from Wednesday afternoon which is about 110km/hr and will continue. It is expected that the cyclone will become severe by 25th May.
Safety precautions must be taken as it can be guessed how strong and dangerous the cyclone will become. The West Bengal Government has taken all preventive measures. West Bengal and north Odisha will experience the highest speed of wind which may increase up to 180km/hr by 26th May. Though Yaas will have a shorter lifespan than Amphan it will be as intense and strong as Assmann. If all the prediction goes right then it will be the most intense cyclone close to Odisha and West Bengal since 1980.
