It means workers doing the same or similar work must be paid the same wages, no matter their gender or background.
Employers cannot pay someone less just because they are a woman or belong to another group.
This rule is now mandatory under the Code on Wages, so pay discrimination is not allowed and workers get fair wages for their work.
