What is a mineral insulated thermocouple?

Mineral Insulated thermocouple consists of two layers named as outer layer and inner layer. It is made of outer metal shreat that is used to protect the thermocouple elements from damage and contamination. The inner metal is composed of magnesium oxide powder and tightly packed too. These are already set to provide variety of temperature measurements. It is also found in many structures with different lengths, variable sizes and different colors. These are also so long durable.
