Programmers may soon have to learn a whole new set of languages, with the likes of Python, Java and Swift taking over in the future. But is this just wishful thinking?

According to TIOBE's 2016 Language Ranking, C is ranked at number 12 worldwide for programming language popularity, while C++ is ranked at number 16. What's more: when sharing languages within an organization's network, there is no such thing as too many choices.
