It is the biggest tragedy of Indian polity that, be it any party’s government, it makes the central agencies of the country its parrot. To defeat their competitors, these parties make the central agencies chase them so closely that their escape becomes impossible. Something similar happened when the Madhya Pradesh CM, Kamal Nath’s acquaintances had an IT department raid at their house. It seems to be a great loss for the BJP.

After the incident, the public has turned sympathetic towards Kamal Nath, and that can affect BJP’s chances in the upcoming elections. In the last Lok Sabha Elections BJP grabbed 27 out of 29 seats of Madhya Pradesh. It was predicted that now Congress’s seats will increase and that of BJP will decrease. The political theorists predicted that the BJP has already set its goals for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. But now Congress can get to the double digits in Madhya Pradesh.

This is important for us to note that Kamal Nath is not only a politician but an industrialist as well. He is the one who is responsible for generating funds from the corporate world for Congress. Everyone sort of knew that the task was being executed by Kamal Nath’s close acquaintances Praveen Kakkad and Miglani.

So the raid was an attempt to cut the funds of Congress. As a response, however, even the BJP is subjected to answering many money-related questions. What is the source, for example, of the uncountable money BJP is squandering on the election cam0paign?

This is just one incidence, many more incidents may be witnessed by the common man in the coming days as the country is gearing up for the General elections. No matter what party is at the centre, the central agencies be it CBI, IT, IB, NIA, etc are the puppets of the ruling party. These agencies are no longer autonomous in their functioning as it can be seen from the fact that, Alok Verma Of CBI gave his resignation just a bit before his retirement. The row of CBI vs the Kolkata Police, the resignation by the RBI governor of India, Urjit Patel. All these incidents show that whatever these agencies do, they are directed to it and do not take any action independently.

The same incident happened this time too. The IT department conducted a raid in the houses of the acquaintances of Kamal Nath, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh just 2 days before the country went up for the elections.

The incident happened when Kamal Nath, himself, and his son, went to get a ticket for the election and declared net assets of more than ₹600 crore. The raid is politically motivated as said by Kamal Nath. There is no doubt about that.

IT dept ceased ₹261 crore rupees which is to be used for the election purpose. Every party uses the cash in elections and there is no hidden fact about it. As per the report by the Election Commission, the use of cash in the elections has been at the highest this year at 17.2%. And this is the situation when the electoral bond scheme is in place. And as per the report by EC BJP has received 95% of the funds through electoral bonds, amounting ₹1100 crore. So, how come only one party came onto the radar of the Raid? The issue is clear, that the raid is politically motivated just to win the election of the ruling party ie BJP.

Congress even dared the IT dept to conduct raids over the PM and the BJP leaders. But in the end, we know it's all fair in war and politics. Now coming to your question, it is not clear how this stunt would affect Congress in the general elections. But one thing is clear, in Madhya Pradesh, when people voted Kamal Nath to power by Majority....They won't change their decision as they are already fed up with the BJP there, making sky-high promises and not even fulfilling a percent of them.
