It’s heartbreaking when your favorite star in a series says that he doesn’t remember what happened while shooting that series, isn’t it?
That’s how the life of FRIENDS star Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) have been –full of ups and downs, the most recent of which is an emergency surgery that he underwent. Matthew Perry had the operation to repair a gastrointestinal perforation, BBC news tells.
“A gastrointestinal perforation is a hole in the wall of part of the gastrointestinal tract and usually requires emergency surgery. It is often referred to as a ruptured *****, but can refer to a tear in the throat, stomach, small intestine, or large intestine. Symptoms include severe abdominal pain and tenderness”, explains BBC.
This is not the only medication or treatment that Matthew Perry has undergone. He has admitted it earlier that right from the starting of FRIENDS, he has fought addiction and has been in and out of rehabilitation centers a lot of times. He was caught up with alcohol and substance abuse so much that he do not even remember what happened during the shoot of season 3-6 of FRIENDS.
Fortunately, the 48-year old star is doing well now and wants to recover from the after effects of his abdominal surgery in peace and private.
