If you’re accessing YouTube on your phone, you would see a “Save” option in most of the videos…

Tap on it and the video will be downloaded in the ‘Downloads’ folder of your YouTube app.
Now this saved video won’t be transferable; meaning, you can transfer it on your phone’s gallery, others’ phone via Bluetooth or your desktop via USB cable. The downloaded file can only be accessed/watched from your YouTube app.
NOTE: You won’t find the “Save” option in every video. The creator/owner of the video gets to decide this. They decide whether they want people to download their videos or not.
