12,000 farmers commit suicide every year in our country.
We have now touched the 45-year high in the unemployment rate.
In 2016, India recorded 106 rapes a day; 4 out of every 10 victims were minors.
Families (including kids) are hounded and thrashed by the nationalists even in top-tier Indian cities.

So, media is propagating that India has become a "superpower in the stars" or "space superpower"?
Clearly, that's not a news piece. You're looking at PR of the government.
It's ludicrous and outrageously obnoxious that even with all the problems of poverty, hunger, clean water, sanitation, healthcare, education, unemployment, and air pollution, we're talking about space dominance and becoming a superpower.
Really?
Except for the NRIs, posh people and those on Twitters, does anybody else really care about space?
We now can attack any satellite that's snooping and troubling India. But then, will it even happen in the first place?
Besides, Indians are more at threat from own government's snooping and prying on personal data than efforts from other countries.
The announcement of 'Mission Shakti' and ASAT missile project from Prime Minister comes at a very strategic time.
Just weeks away from General Election 2019, it\'s the time for politicians to say, announce and brag whatever they feel like with full impunity because:
· One, they believe Indian voters are stupid and forgetful. (And they aren’t very wrong!)
· Two, Election Commission of India, today, is as good as non-existent.
This announcement from Chowkidaar is pulled to change the narrative just before the elections. It's done to create a perception. It's done to ensure everyone forgets the real issues and focuses on topics that don’t even matter.
The nationalists paid media will continue talking about this "achievement of Modi government" for some days. Following, they will get back to Pakistan and Balakot attack. Then from them, they will discuss how Rahul Gandhi is destroying the country (from the opposition). And then they will complete the circle by coming back to Modi and how great he is.
It's a pattern.
It's a national syllabus.
It's a process of taking away citizens' rights-- our rights.
India is a superpower in stars… India isn't a superpower in stars…
Does it matter?
Talk about the real issues.
Vote in General Election 2019 based on real issues.
