The auspicious day on which Lord Krishna was born on our planet is known as Janmashtami. Around India, Lord Krishna's birthday is celebrated with tremendous passion and fervour in August or September. According to Hindu calendar, this event is observed on Ashtami of Krishna Paksh, the eighth day of the dark fortnight. Lord Krishna is thought to be Lord Vishnu's most powerful soul and manifestation. Before 5,200 years, he was born in the city of Mathura. That is why the city of Mathura is known as Krishnabhumi.

The Hindu majority celebrates this event all throughout India. This event was known by several names, including Krishna Janmashtami, Sree Jayanti, Gokilashtami, and Srikrishna Jayanti. Lord Krishna was born to rid the world of evil and to promote the message of love and fraternity. Lord Krishna was Devaki and Vasudeva's eighth child, and he fulfilled the prophesy of killing Kind Kansa. King Kansa, on the other hand, attempted to murder Bal Krishna several times while he was a child, but his attempts were always in vain.
