The computer scientists of Harvard University have come up with a new algorithm which according to the claims, “work smarter, not harder”. The algorithm was first presented on July 12 at the International Conference on Machine Learning in Stockholm.
Known as “Speed Demon”, the algorithm runs a lot faster than the traditional means of searching and arranging data. Built by Yaron Singer and Eric Balkanski, “this program could also speed up data processing for everything from drug discovery to social media analytics and analyses of genetic data”.
A science journal explaining the mechanism says, that it sorts and discards the unwanted elements faster and intelligently and hence is quicker in maintaining and searching the data.
It certainly is a step ahead on the way of an advanced technology.
