The most amazing trip of my life until now is the one I took with my family. We went on a tour of Uttarakhand together.

The ride from Delhi to the regions in Uttarakhand which are on plains is fairly easy, but boring. But as the altitude increases, the fun increases too.

You will find Haridwar and Rishikesh just alright. Enjoy the Ganga Aarti in Haridwar and river rafting in Rishikesh, and then get ready for the real thrill and adventure.

The most wonderful places in Uttarakhand are Chaar Dhaam, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. They are not wonderful just because they have a religious connection, but because they have much more besides that.

All four of these places are beautiful and sublime in the ways all the mountain areas are. They offer you fresh air, picturesque views, and clear water flowing up from the mountains, filling the environment with an ever present rippling sound.

Apart from these places, there is Hem Kund Sahib, The Valley of Flowers, and Chopta in Uttarakhand. All magnificent and worth visiting.

I still carry Uttarakhand in my heart, after so many years of the trip.

My number 1 travel tip will be information gathering. Collect information as much as you can about the place wherever you are planning to travel. All information will play a very important role in your tour planning.

Secondly, I will suggest carrying all the things with you that you may need during your travel. Most importantly the first-aid box & medicines.
