The reason behind the rise of distraction and violence at Bengal was party - against - party. With a massive amount of votes towards Mamta Banerjee gave the BJP's workers a reason to spread violence under the nose. This violence strategy was enacted just after the results were out and BJP lost the chance at Bengal. Soon after this, the violence was announced as communal. It was portrayed as Muslims against Hindus.
