What was Trump’s reaction on Obama’s Debut Speech of 2018 Campaign Role?

Former American President, Barack Obama kicked off his 2018 campaign with a speech that –unlike other former presidents’ speeches in American history –criticized his successor very openly and strongly.

Obama’s speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was full of strong criticizing comments and statements for US president Donald Trump, and its winning reactions from all over. After leaving the office, Obama, has taken part in Trump-criticism, but only passively, which did not help the expectant Democrats much.

So the most recent speech in which Obama called Donald Trump, “threat to our democracy” and the one who is practicing the “politics of fear and resentment.”
Here’s a small extract from Mr. Obama’s address:

“It did not start with Donald Trump…..He is a symptom, not the cause. He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years, a fear and anger that’s rooted in our past, but it’s also born out of the enormous upheavals that have taken place in your brief lifetimes.”

Now what are your guesses about President Trump’s reaction? Do you think one who is so used to criticism would be affected by the comments of his predecessor as he “dismantles his legacy”?

Here’s what Trump has to say:

“I found he’s very good, very good for sleeping… Now if that doesn’t get you out to vote for the midterms, nothing will.”

Yea, that’s what he does with his predecessor –just laughs him off! (That’s president Trump for you!)

Anyhow, the other comments and reactions to Obama’s speech were also not very good.

“The more President @BarackObama speaks about the ‘good ole years’ of his presidency, the more likely President @realDonaldTrump is to get re-elected”, tweets Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina –a Trump ally.

So the Trump-allies are pointing out to Obama that no good is going to come by crying over and reminding people his long lost and reverted policies and legacy that Trump has “dismantled”.

Obama however, acknowledges that the “stakes really are higher than before”, and that his break (the personal time we was having with his sweet family) is over, which means he is again back in the game.

Certainly the ears all over would be waiting for his next speeches, as the part of his 2018 campaign. Now that he has accused Trump of “polarizing the nation” and “cozying up to Russia”, his next speech at Orange County is much awaited.
