Naag panchami is the one of the religious day of Hindus communtiy. On this day, people worship snakes. It is celebrated throughout India, Nepan and other countries too. This day comes on the fifth day of half of lunar month of Sawan. That's why it is called " Naag panchami" or "Naag Puja". This year, it is celebrated on 13 August ( Friday ). According to Hindu belief, snakes are considered as Naga Devta or the snake god.
