Face masks are an important part of our skin care routine in every season, especially in summers. This step should never be skipped as it soothens out the skin, keeping it soft and subtle. .
There are so many face masks available in the market but don't fall for any random one instead understand your skin type and apply what your skin hungers for. I am mentioning a few DIY face masks below, which you can easily make and apply during summers using already available kitchen ingredients. These face masks work as coolants to your skin and keep your skin soft and cool
.
AloeVera gel with Turmeric powder : This combination is an evergreen one for all season and is one of the most convenient one. Take some aloe vera gel in a bowl either fresh from the plant or market-ready and add a pinch of turmeric powder to it, make a proper paste out of it. Apply it all over your face. Allow it settle for 10 minutes, post which massage it for 5 minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water. It's that easy. Repeat this thrice a week for better results.
.
Multani Mitti and Milk - This combination keeps the unnecessary oiliness of your skin at bay. If your skin is too oily in nature, replace milk with water. Mix some amount of Multani Mitti with some amount of water or milk, depending upon your skin. Apply it on your skin. Leave it untill it dries. Don't let it crack. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat try and moisturize your skin well. Repeat this twice a week for better results.
.
Banana & oatmeal face mask is one of the skin lightening as well as skin softening face mask. Mash one banana, add one cup of oats powder along with some amount of water or milk as per your skin type. Apply this paste all over your skin. Massage it after 10 mins and wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat dry. Repeat this twice a week for better results.
Apart from DIY face masks, there are various types of sheet masks of different brands that are available in market. I personally use Face Shop sheet mask. Even though they are on the costlier side as compared to DIY face masks, they are effective enough and a big time time saver. They work best when your travelling or when your schedule is super tight in a way that you literally do not have time to for DIY face masks and are completely hassle-free. There are various FaceShop sheet masks available in market costing anywhere between 100Rs - 200Rs, as per your need.
