Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit was a very well known physicist, inventor and scientific instrument maker. He is most well known for his invention of the unit of measuring temperature, which he named after himself, Fahrenheit. Apart from the invention of Fahrenheit, his other inventions have been the Mercury-in-glass thermometer and the alcohol thermometer.
