The first ever Bangladeshi cricketer to score a double century in test cricket was Mushfiqur Rahim. He is considered to be one of the pillars of the Bangladesh cricket team. In the past, he has also been the captain, and the vice-captain of the team as well. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in a test match against England on the 26th of May, 2005. He made history for Bangladesh when he scored the first ever double century in test match cricket for Bangladesh. He did this on the 11th of March, 2013, when Bangladesh were on a tour in Sri Lanka.
