"Brother to my left, brother to my right. Together we stand. Together we fight! I'm part of the Paltan, are you?" read one of the tweets of Abhishek Bachchan last year. After that, what happens is a mystery even to the director of Paltan, J P Dutta.
It seems like stars enjoy this game of quitting movies on their whims and fancies without any justifiable reason. Priyanka Chopra did that with Bharat, and now it’s Abhishek Bachchan doing so with Paltan. Anyhow, I don’t think audience is going to miss much due to the absence of Abhishek Bachchan (IYKWIM). We have already had enough of Abhishek Bachchan in J P Dutt’s Refugee and Umrao Jaan.
Without him, Paltan’s trailer looks good:
Now, the star cast of Paltan includes Arjun Rampal, Jackie Shroff, Gurmeet Choudhary, Siddhanth Kapoor (Shraddha Kapoor's brother), Harshvardhan Rane and Luv Sinha (Sonakshi Sinha's brother). Certainly not bad!
Paltan is another war drama directed by J P Dutt after the movies like Border and LOC Kargil. It relates the story of military clashes during Indo-Chinese war. Paltan hits the theatre on 7th September.
