Who is Jacinda?

Full name of Jacinda is ‘Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern’ and she was born on 26 July 1980 in Hamilton. She is a politician from New Zealand who has been the Labour Party’s head from 2017 and the country's 40th prime minister. She is an activist for the Labour Party and has served as the Mount Albertfrom 2017. Only at stage of 17, she enrolled in the Labour Party. Jacinda worked as a research assistant in Prime Minister Helen Clark's cabinet after receiving their degree from the College of Hamilton in 2001. Afterwards, under Tony Blair's presidency, she served in London as a cabinet secretary advisor. Jacinda was chosen to lead the International Organization of Communist Teenagers in 2008. Jacinda identifies as a liberal and a democratic socialist. Welfare spending, existing inequalities and the housing market crash in New Zealand have all been problems for the sixth Labour government. After the massacres at the Christchurch mosque in March 2019, Jacinda swiftly implemented strong gun legislation, garnering her widespread acclaim. She oversaw New Zealand's reaction to the COVID-19 epidemic during 2020, and for that, she received accolades for making New Zealand one of the only Developed countries to effectively control the epidemic.

After serving two terms as prime minister, she made her decision. Jacinda Ardern has said that she won't run for office again this cycle, and her final day in office is February 7. Ardern said that although she understood whatever it takes to be prime minister, she "no more had enough in the tank to carry it out properly" but pointed to others who can. She went on to say that other than the fact that she is "human," there wasn't any particular "aspect" or "genuine cause" for her desire to quit.

As reported by the regional news outlet NZ Herald, Ardern declared at a live media event that the past five and one-half years had been "the most satisfying of my lifetime."
