Absolutely not. I grew up observing the men around me suppress their emotions, and, to be frank, it is exhausting to live in such a manner. Real strength isn't about staying silent or keeping distance. It's about being vulnerable enough to communicate.
I have come to understand that the most fulfilling relationships occur when men are able to express their feelings without experiencing shame.
Emotional distance in masculinity is basically a myth we've been sold. It makes relationships shallow and prevents real connection. Men who can cry, admit fears, or ask for help? That's actual strength. I've noticed that guys who work on emotional intelligence have better friendships, healthier partnerships, and handle stress way better. Society needs to stop equating masculinity with emotional shutdown. Healthy masculinity includes emotional openness.
