You don’t have to be a fan or even a distant follower of cricket to know the name of MS Dhoni. You don’t even have to be an Indian to know this great personality. Better known by his various alternate names like Captain Cool, Maahi, and MSD, Dhoni has been rumored to be quitting cricket after the ongoing World Cup tournament. No official declaration, however, has been made on this matter. I think it is due to the way Dhoni is playing in this World Cup that has given way to such rumors.

It should be noted that Dhoni has failed to bat gloriously the way he used to do before. India is performing extremely well in World Cup this year. The team has lost just one match against England and the credit for good performance of Indian team goes to each and every player, not to any one or two players.
Talking of Dhoni, he has already quit test match format and it is about time he bids good bye to one-day and 20-20 formats as well. This, however, doesn’t change the fact that Dhoni is an extraordinary player.
