FIFA World Cup has been played for nearly a century now. The first ever World Cup match was between Mexico and the United States of America on the 13th of July, 1930. Mexico won that game by a margin of 4-1. Uruguay went on to win the inaugural season and ever since then, the world has seen many winners. Some teams were declared winners repeatedly and some teams were declared winners for the first time. Similarly, the winner of the FIFA World Cup 2014, was Germany. The captain of Germany during that time was Philipp Lahm. They defeated Argentina with a minor margin of 1-0. That was their 4th ever World Cup win since 1990. It was a historic day for Germany.
