If you are talking about Pulwama Terrorist Attack, please know that it is not the first time that a young boy has taken arms against the state.

You must be aware of Burhan Wani and the wave of aggression he caused back in 2015 in the region of Tral. And FYI, there are many Burhan Wanis and Adil Ahmads in the Kashmir Valley, who support the causes these young militants died for, if not physically, then by heart. BY THIS STATEMENT, I WOULD LIKE TO ASCERTAIN, THOUGH, THAT NOT ALL YOUNG MEN GO THAT WAY.
Now the question is, what provokes these young boys to join terrorist groups, giving up every other aspiration, dream, and even their families.
Adil Ahmad said in the concerned video, “don’t fall in love”, and we are wondering if that was Valentine’s message for Kashmiri boys that he wanted to leave behind as he rammed the SUV loaded with explosives in a bus full of CRPF Jawans.
This 20-year-boy, just like Wani was a believer and is said to have done the act in the name of Jihad.
Yes, for many, Jihad seems the first and foremost reason that comes up.
Of course, there are many families and youngsters who want to lead a normal and ordinary life but the ever happening atrocities in the valley of Kashmir have snatched from them this luxury. We just can’t deny that their lives have not been affected and in many different ways.
And these atrocities, more often than not, force them to take arms.
I have personally talked to a Kashmiri, who glorifies Burham Wani. On one hand, he wants to come to Delhi and study Journalism in Jamia. And on the other hand, he curses the Indian State and supports the acts of such militants.
According to this guy, the main reason is the humiliation and torture that the innocent families faced during the protests of 2008, 2009, and 2010. The rape cases of Asifa and Neelofar have also added fuel to the fire.
Now, they want an eye for an eye, and that’s making the whole world blind.
These young minds just need to be channelized in the right way. They should not see the military as their enemies.
