In a historic moment for every Indian, our Men in Blue clinicaly defended their title by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the T20 World Cup 2026 final on March 8. Held at the majestic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India posted a massive 255/5, the highest-ever total in a tournament final.
Sanju Samson’s brilliant 89 and Abhishek Sharma’s record-breaking 18-ball fifty set the stage before our bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, bundled the Kiwis out for 159. This victory makes us the first nation to win three T20 World Cup titles and the first to win it on home soil!
