Not all children appreciate the parents' naghing and concern which is an imevitable part of every child's upbringing, be it any generation.

Many of these children silently promise themselves to become "better" parents or persons in their life. They pledge not to become like their parents ever and they maintain such a mindset till they are hit by the reality.

Yes, you might be unaware of it but it's not only the genetic features that we inherit from our parents. Their upbringing and their shaping of us have a great influence on us and is always there in our sub-conscious.

I am happy that I realized it early and most importantly before becoming a parent myself. There are certain behavioral traits of my parents that I have acquired.

To answer your question directly, yes, it is sometimes difficult to cope up with such a situation. It's most difficult on the psychological level.

You feel like there are two people inside your head fighting with each other. And sometimes it's like wherever you go, you have your parents surveilling you.

For example, I lately realized that the irritation with high volumes which I was thinking to be an OCD is nothing but the result of my mom's rehular thrashing of me for listening to music is an unusually loud volume.

I used to love it but now I don't. It's conflicting sometimes but you learn to deal with it over time.

And as you mature you realize that you have acquired such traits for good. After all, your parents were never wrong in chidinh you. They always thought of your good.
