This is complicated. Laws exist because women face ACTUAL harassment and abuse - eve teasing, workplace harassment, domestic violence, assault. These are real problems in India especially.
Are there rare cases of misuse? Probably yes. But the bigger issue is most cases go unreported because women don't trust system or fear consequences. Women in India face constant safety concerns - public transport, streets, workplaces. These laws exist because women need protection.
Yes, fairness matters - false accusations harm real victims' credibility. But focusing on "what if she's lying" distracts from the real issue which is most women aren't lying and face daily harassment. The system needs to improve but abolishing protections helps no one.
