Has Instructure fully resolved the Canvas security incident and restored access?

The short answer is that access is mostly restored, but the crisis is far from over. On May 7, Instructure had to take Canvas offline into "maintenance mode" after hackers hijacked the login screens. While the platform is currently back online for most schools and Instructure claims the immediate breach is "contained," the underlying security threat remains very active. The hackers still possess the stolen data and have set a strict ransom deadline of May 12. So, while you can log in to check your grades, the extortion situation is definitely not fully resolved yet.
