As far as my
knowledge and information go, there was no show of Tesla Motors at CES 2018.
However, we did
a see a startup that promised to be Tesla’s next competitor. Talking about
Byton here, that’s led by the former employees of BMW and Apple. In this year’s
CES, it introduced a new (and amazing) electric “smart” car. Everything about
this vehicle speaks riches, from a SUV-type body to 49 inch widescreen display.
Other companies
who stole the show by introducing new cars include Volkswagen and BMW, Ferrari
and Mercedes Benz. They all put up a great show, hinting a great future of
motor vehicles that would blend Artificial Intelligence in their core
functioning.
In the non-auto
segment, other companies like Samsung and Asus too made big headlines.
Samsung
introduced an AI tech that turns any video into 8K. HP displayed a refined
version of its Spectre x360 15, a third-generation convertible PC.
Asus went
overboard, introducing a total of 4 machines, including “super thin and super
powerful” ZenBook that, honestly, can give MacBooks a run for their money. LG
unveiled a 65 inch 4K television that rolls up like a poster.
These were the
top attractions of CES 2018. Nothing about Tesla!
