I actually switched to SAP MDG from a non-tech background, so it’s doable. First, understand SAP basics, especially modules like MM or SD, because MDG connects with them. Then learn MDG concepts like data governance, workflows, and master data. I took an online course and practiced on demo systems, which helped a lot. Certifications can add value, but hands-on knowledge matters more. Also, try applying for internships or junior SAP roles to get real exposure. Networking on LinkedIn helped me connect with professionals already in SAP. It’s not an overnight journey, but once you get in, the career growth is quite stable and rewarding.
