If your pet is injured, it could be in pain then you should be more carefulto avoid getting hurt, bitten or scratched. An open wound can be easier to heal because it is visible, but internal injuries can be harder to heal.Internal injuries can be caused by: car accident, a fall from height, dogs fighting etc.
- Don't hug an injured pet, and always keep your face away from its mouth.
- Initially assess the dog's condition whether pet is injured from inside or outside.
- Place a muzzle on the pet mouth to reduce the risk of bitten.
- Do not put muzzle to your pet if it is vomiting.
- Before you try to move a hurt animal, it's a good idea to make their injuries stable by using a splint or a bandage, if you can. This helps keep them from getting more hurt while you're helping them.
- When you need to take your hurt pet to the vet, put them in a small space so they don't get more hurt. This keeps them safe.
- You should make sure to keep your pet's health papers in a secure place all the time.
- Call veterinary clinic.
