You must wear sunscreen daily come rain or shine. Yes, it is a must wear even it is raining. Sunscreen protects your skin from the harmful UV rays of sun that can enhance skin aging, cause sunburns and unwanted spots and even ups the risk of skin cancer.
Even on overcast condition and rainy days, UVA and UVB rays filter out from the clouds and cause skin damage. These rays are independent of weather conditions. Check the SPF or Sun Protection Factor of the sunscreen; SPF 30 is desirable.
You may need to reapply sunscreen if you are under the sun for more than 15-20 minutes. If you are averse to sticky lotions, you can choose those with lighter consistencies. Choose broad spectrum sunscreens that cover your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. You cannot leave out sunscreen if you wish to maintain youthfulness of your skin.

The most dangerous time is midday, usually from about 10 AM to 2 PM, when the sun's rays are the hottest.
