Every CRM should include contact management, lead tracking, and automated follow-ups to streamline customer interactions. Integration, analytics, and customization features are also essential for improving sales and customer relationships.

I’d say the essentials are pretty consistent across most teams. At minimum, a solid CRM should have:

  • Clean contact & lead management

  • Pipeline/opportunity tracking

  • Task & follow-up reminders

  • Email/SMS integration

  • Reporting & analytics

  • Automation/workflows to reduce manual work

  • Easy integration with tools you already use

Anything beyond that (AI helpers, forecasting, etc.) is a bonus, but these basics are what actually make day-to-day work smoother.
